A Day Fit for a Queen

Updated: Dec 29, 2023

Texas Renaissance Festival is an annual event held about an hour from Houston, Texas in Todd Mission, Texas that began in 1974 on the location of the old strip mining site. This festival claims to be "the nation's largest Renaissance theme park"

The festival hosts guests from all over Texas and beyond and brings out the Pirate, the Queen and King, the Barbarian or the Fairy in everyone who visits. The TRF celebrates with nine exciting themed weekends beginning in October and ending in November on Thanksgiving Weekend with a Celtic Christmas on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I never miss the opportunity to enjoy the King's Mead (Honey Wine) and sing songs with the Pirates and patrons at Nelly's Pub and just relax and contemplate how to make this part of my every day life!? Everyone here is just having a great time, no stress, no worries, just singing and relaxing!

My name is Kim Thompson, I have been  a story teller from day one. I believe that everyone has a story to tell and that every place has a history worth reading about, or if you are lucky enough, worth experiencing it for yourself. I have been to a lot of places in my years of travels, I so far have spent a lot of times in the Southern US, but I hope to venture out of my comfort zone this year and find new adventures and places to share. Lets find new paths to follow together! Want to come?  Follow me!eteflipfloplife101@gmail.com
